Traditional I/O is a modular subsystem that offers flexibility during installation. It’s designed to be installed in the field, near your devices. Traditional I/O is equipped with function and field wiring protection keys to ensure that the correct I/O card is always plugged into the corresponding terminal block.
The MQ Controller provides communication and control between the field devices and the other nodes on the control network. Control strategies and system configurations created on earlier DeltaV™ systems can be used with this powerful controller. The MQ Controller provides all the features and functions of the MD Plus Controller, with the same amount of memory.
DeltaV™ IS Electronic Marshalling delivers a new level of control system I/O performance with unprecedented flexibility and ease of use. The addition of Intrinsically Safe (IS) CHARMs provides significant savings in system design, installation cost and ease of maintenance expected with Electronic Marshalling, with the added safety for field wiring to hazardous areas.
The DeltaV™ M-series Virtual I/O Module 2 (VIM2) provides nonintrusive simulation of the DeltaV M-series I/O Cards and digital bus field devices for process simulation when used with Emerson’s Mimic Simulation Software. DeltaV control strategies and system configurations can be fully tested with this powerful simulation interface.
